The Hare and the Tortoise Story for Kids with Pictures and Moral

Once upon a time, there was a hare and tortoise. The hare was very fast ,and he always boasted about his speed. The tortoise was slow but steady and never boasted about anything.

One day the Hare teased the tortoise, saying, "Hey slowpoke " why don't you race with me? I bet you can't even keep up with me. The tortoise accepted the challenge, and they decided to have a race.

As the race began, the hare quickly moved ahead and soon disappeared from sight.

The tortoise continued at his slow and steady pace, and soon he passed by the sleeping Hare. but the tortoise didn't stop and kept moving ahead.

The hare woke up and saw that tortoise was already halfway to the finish line. he thought to himself," I can still win this race easily " and ran as fast as he could. but as he approached the finish line, he saw that the tortoise had already won the race.

The moral of story is that slow and steady wins the race. we should not underestimate anyone, and we should never boast about our own abilities. hard work ,persistence, and determination are the keys to success, and we should always strive to do our best, no matter how slow or fast we may be.
