Once upon a time, in a beautiful kingdom called Kalakeya, there lived a kind king named Gangadhar. He had a pet monkey named Gangu. Gangu wasn’t very smart, but the king liked him a lot. They were good friends.
One sunny afternoon, after eating a tasty lunch, King Gangadhar went to his room to rest. Gangu followed him like always and gently began fanning the king to keep him cool.
As the king was sleeping peacefully, a little fly came buzzing and sat on his head. Gangu quickly waved his fan to shoo it away. The fly flew off… but soon came back again!
The fly just wouldn’t stop! It sat on the king’s nose, flew away, and came back again and again. Gangu became very angry and upset. “This fly is disturbing my dear king!” he thought.
Then Gangu had a very silly idea. “I must stop this fly forever!” he said. He saw a sword nearby and picked it up. The fly was now sitting on the king’s nose.
Without thinking, Gangu swung the sword right at the fly!
But oh no! The fly flew away just in time, and the sword cut the king’s nose instead! The king screamed in pain and woke up.
King Gangadhar was very angry and said,
"Gangu! You are too foolish to be near me! Leave the palace right now!"
And poor Gangu had to go away forever.
