Story of Evil Rat and Miraculous Saint|| Panchatantra Story in English.

A miraculous saint lived in Rampur village. The stories of the saint's miracles were famous far and wide. A small rat was also a resident of the same village. He was very afraid of cats. One day, while sitting in his hole, he thought, "If I go to the sage and tell him my problem, he will definitely help me." The mouse quickly reached the sage. He told his problem to the monk. The sage said, "Let me turn you into a cat. Then all your problems will end." After reciting the mantra, the sage transformed the rat into a cat.

Now he used to roam around and eat and drink without any fear. Everything went well for a few days, but one day a dog caught sight of him.

The mouse disguised as a cat got very scared and again reached the sage. He told the whole thing to the monk. This time the sage transformed him into a powerful dog.

The mouse was very happy becoming a dog, but his happiness did not last long. He saw that all the humans kept hitting him and running away. At last he again reached the sage and said, you turn me into a lion. Then no one will trouble me." The sage again recited the mantra and the mouse immediately transformed into a lion.

He said to the monk, I am feeling hungry. I will eat you." Saying this he pounced on the sage. The sage understood that this rat was very evil. The sage again recited a mantra and the lion immediately transformed into a mouse.

Moral of the story-

Those who help should not be troubled. One should not misuse one's power.
