Thirsty crow flying under the hot sun with tongue out

Once upon a time, on a hot summer day, a little black crow was flying in the sky. The sun was shining bright, and the land below was dry and dusty.

The poor crow was very thirsty. He had been flying for hours, looking for some water. But there was no pond, no river, not even a small puddle anywhere.

"Caw… Caw… I need water," he said, feeling weak.

He flew over fields, trees, and rocks, searching everywhere. But all he could see was dry land. His wings were tired, and his throat felt dry.

Still, the little crow didn’t give up. He kept flying, hoping to find even a little water.

Crow finds an old clay pot under a tree

Suddenly, the crow's sharp eyes spotted something under a shady tree.

It was an old clay pot!

"Maybe there is water inside!" thought the crow, and he quickly flew down to check.

Crow looking inside the pot, water too low to reach

The crow peeped inside the pot. Yes! There was some water at the bottom.

But oh no… the water level was very low. His beak couldn't reach it.

The crow felt sad for a moment, but then he smiled.

"I must think smart," he said to himself.

He picked up a pebble with his beak and dropped it into the pot. The water level rose a little.

"Yes, it’s working!" cheered the crow.

Crow happily dropping more pebbles, water level rising

The crow kept picking up pebbles, one by one, and dropping them into the pot.

The crow worked patiently, not giving up.

Crow excited to see water at the top of the pot

Finally, the water reached the top of the pot. The crow’s eyes sparkled with joy.

"Now I can drink!" he said happily.
